The first 2 weeks

The first 2 weeks we had Austin home, where probably by far the hardest 2 weeks I had ever endured. The first night home, my milk came in, and he couldn't latch on, I was crying because I couldn't feed my child, and he was crying because he was hungry. It was crazy. After we figured that issue out, it got a little better.
For those 2 weeks though Austin would wake up sometime time during the night usually between 1:30 and 3:00 AM wanting to eat, which was fine, I knew I would need to feed him in the middle of the night, what I didn't realize was that he wouldn't go back to bed after I fed him. He would stay up from 2 or 3 in the morning until 8:00 AM. I was so tired. A few nights him and I slept onthe couch. And then because he was up all night, he would sleep ALL day. I would wake him every 3 hours to feed him. Easier said then done.... I never though I would have a problem waking a baby, but I did. We tried everything... striping him down to his diaper, tickling him, wet washcloths, you name it we tried it. It was a rough couple weeks, with nursing, and just figuring out his cries and needs.
But it all worked out, I had lots of help from Chad, his family, and my family. My mom and sis just love him, being the first nephew and first grand child, they can't get enough of him.
